Want to get psyched for the big Homecoming game against the Knoch Knights on Friday, Sept. 20? Join us for the Bridgers Homecoming Pep Rally on Thursday, Sept. 19 to help kick off Homecoming weekend. Festivities will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Moe Rubenstein Stadium.
The Homecoming Rally will feature a number of fun-filled events, including food trucks, baked goods, raffles, face painting and games for the whole family. The Homecoming Court, High School Band and Cheerleaders and Varsity Football players will be featured during the pep rally. All Lil’Bridger athletes are encouraged to wear their football and cheer uniforms to the event.
Donations are being accepted for the event. Individuals or community businesses interested in donating items to the snack/bake sale should sign up here.
The pep rally will be followed by the big Homecoming game, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20. Immediately preceding the game will be a Homecoming Parade and Celebration, starting at 5:45 p.m. The parade route begins at the Ambridge 911 Center and ends at the stadium. The parade will feature high school, middle school and elementary school students and school organizations, who will join the Homecoming Court as it makes it way through town to the stadium. Clubs and athletic programs that would like to register to participate in the parade may do so here. The deadline to register is Thursday, Sept. 12. All parade participants are required to be at the 911 Center no later than 5 p.m.
The safety and security of our students is a top priority at these events. As such, Elementary-aged students attending Homecoming events on Thursday and Friday must be accompanied by an adult. Elementary students are required to be seated with their parents or adult guardians during the football game. No running through the stands is permitted. Middle School students are required to sit in the Middle School Cheer Section, located behind the High School Student Section and the Marching Band. Concession stands will be open during the game, featuring a variety of food options.
Homecoming weekend will conclude with the Homecoming Dance, from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21. Tickets will be sold from Sept. 16-18 during lunches. Cost is $8 in advance and $10 at the door. The Homecoming Dance is open to students in grades 9-12 only. AASD students are not permitted to bring gusts from another school. All students attending the event must be in good academic and behavioral standing.
